Charging of inverter
Please, I want to know if I can use electricity supply to charge an inverter?
An inverter is used to convert DC (direct current)to AC (alternating current)since a solar panel produces DC and most homes, at least those here in the U.S. use AC for our appliances. However if you don't have any form of electricity then you could use the DC that is supplied by the solar panels. Of course you would need DC appliances.
If you want to charge a battery or batteries you could do so directly from the solar panels via a charge controller. The charge controller would protect the batteries from being overcharged. See my page on Residential Solar!
I hope I have helped you but if not please feel free ask me another question.
