Solar Water Heater System

A solar water heater system is much different than a solar photovoltaic system because it heats water instead of producing electricity. A solar water heater is much cheaper than solar panels and much simpler to operate. Heating water takes a lot of energy and is a large portion of your energy bill each month. So a solar water heater can pay for itself in a very short time. There are several kinds of solar hot water heating systems but the ones used most often on residential homes are the solar flat plate collectors. They are inexpensive, easy to mount on your home, and are practically maintenance free! They have been around for quite some time and are proven energy savers.
